But thankfully all of us loved it! This is my third Hallmark book and it definitely didn't disappoint! This book had real life stories as well as romance. It is not your typical Christmas feel-good story; the two timelines add an extra layer of depth to the intrigue. If you have watched Journey Back To Christmas on Hallmark, this book follows that movie perfectly. Times have changed and whilst not intended some might construe what I am about to say as being sexist or demeaning or something else which is not the compliment it is intended to be. May this crossroad bring to your journey a time of relaxation, rest, reflection, and refueling of your heart and Christmas spirit! Unfortunately this one fell a little short.
She meets a kind cop named Jake who sets out to solve the mystery of where she came from. No compensation was given, offered, or taken to alter the opinion. Who doesn't love a story about that? This book seemed to be a romance novel from the first couple of chapters, but it really was about something more. This one read like the movie, giving a little more insight to the characters. Perfect for curling up with some hot cocoa and gingerbread on a lazy holiday afternoon. I huge thank you to the publisher and NetGalley! Well, she doesn't know exactly? There are a variety of on-demand services available like , , and Amazon Streaming Video. A really sweet book that tugs at your heart.
Tribute to those coming home, had her rushing out of the theatre. Little does she realize that she is now in 2016. What you said, you said so beautifully! This is the last book that I read in 2017, which is interesting. I loved that the book tied up some loose ends, and added quite a bit of clarity. She is a nurse in the 1940's who finds herself stuck in a snow storm and takes refuge in a shack. But after taking a tumble and banging her head Hannah comes to in the year 2016 and having a heck of a time not only trying to get use to a changed world but also trying to convince others that she is from the past.
I received this book from netgalley. Though she works as a nurse at the local hospital, with her husband dead and her hopes of starting a family gone, she feels lost and without a purpose in life. This is a clean book, with a couple mentions of praying one mention of Moses, and of going to church. All she knows is she ran into a barn to escape a snow storm and came out of the barn 75 years into the future with no clue on how to get back home. I was under no obligation to write this review, I did so because I loved the book. You will be in the Christmas spirit at the end of both. The writing style is lovely, and it was wonderful to see into the heads of each characters.
Two love stories from two different time periods. In fact, the main boy and girl characters that the story followed were from different time periods and in love with other people. I am very interested in stories that connect in some way to the Second World War, and Hanna Morse, the main character in this story has just that connection - a young nurse who at the end of war is grieving the loss of her husband and trying to find some reason to go on. A snowstorm, and being found by a cop Jake. This one read like the movie, giving a little more insight to the characters.
Still, the film and book did a fairly good job. Now, she hopes to find her way back to her own time…and this year's comet may lead her to a Christmas miracle. No compensation was given, offered, or taken to alter the opinion. Then the Christmas Comet appears for the first time in over seventy years, and Hanna's caught in a snowstorm and knocked unconscious. I loved hearing about your heartwarming memories from childhood.
As Hanna is trying to figure out if she will ever return to her life she learns how her life of caring has affected others in ways she never dreamed. Hi Net, I am so moved by what you said above! This book is just like a Hallmark movie — it is sweet and clean with absolutely no cursing and no sex, so if those things are off-putting to you, there is no worry here. That every choice we make does make a difference, and it took Hanna traveling to 2016 to see that. Then the Christmas Comet appear Treat yourself to ebooks inspired by Hallmark Christmas movies. But after hearing a stray dog bark she sets out to return it to its owners only to end up crashing her car and spending the night in a barn, sheltering from the snow. My only complaint is that the book was a bit too short, but that is something that possibly could not be helped, and Leigh herself may not have had control over that. But honestly, this is a lovely bit of escapist fluff, so it seems disingenuous to judge it too harshly for not pretending to be anything else.
I also remember a full house at my Grandparent's home at Christmastime and many, many cousins! Every character was unique, and Jake's trust in Hanna was really sweet. Having spent time with a young child talking about the Christmas comet Hannah heads home, running various errands around the town first before returning to her empty home. My most cherished memories with them are those around Christmastime - listening to Christmas records on the huge stereo console while wrapping gifts, 50+ people cramming into my grandparents little house on Christmas eve, and then exchanging gifts and sitting down to a big dinner on Christmas day - memories I know I will cherish my entire life. Apparently, that also applies to Hallmark books as well! Watch the Journey Back To Christmas live stream with these simple tips. Leigh went on to write seven more books for Harlequin, including the highly acclaimed Glades County Cowboys series, before she began writing the more complex, heart-warming and emotional stories that have resonated with her readers.
Candace Cameron Bure, Oliver Hudson, Raven Stewart, and Tom Skerritt's performances were especially enjoyable. It was nice, too, that you get both Hanna and Jake's perspectives, and that both feel that family, friends, and tradition are important. Mark 25 Oh, thank you, Mark! You love the characters even more after reading the book. I love Hallmark which is why I was very excited to learn that they were putting out a new line of books based off my favorite movies. This was so fun to read while I wait for the new holiday movies to start coming on.
Sarah is st This is the last book that I read in 2017, which is interesting. I am usually not one for paranormal stories, but this one was right up my alley. She puts on a brave smile during the day while nursing her hospital patients, but at night, she grieves the loss of her love. Overall, a very festive, sweet, enjoyable book. She is a nurse in the 1940's who finds herself stuck in a snow storm and takes refuge in a shack. I would only read this book once and donate. A blizzard is st I loved this Christmas movie when it debuted last year on the Hallmark Channel so I was very excited to learn of the ebook based on the movie.
